  • Stage 0 (As-Cast Block): The base OEM block in its raw, mass-machined form, perfect for budget-conscious rebuilds or stock applications while maintaining OEM reliability. We recommend the engine builder verify all clearances, and while the block surfaces meet Cummins specifications, we recommend a finer surface finish on the deck surface for optimal MLS head gasket performance. (120 or better Ra is recommended for MLS head gaskets)Ā 
  • Stage 1 up to 500HP (Surfaced & Checked): Premium CNC surfaced to provide a 80 Ra deck surface finish followed with precise clearance checks by Power Driven Diesel to ensure adequate piston to wall and main bearing clearance.Ā  (Ready to clean and assemble)
  • Stage 2 up to 700HP-800 Hp (Extreme Tow & Performance): CNC Torque-Plate Extreme Plateau Diamond Honed with enhanced valley depth crosshatching for high horsepower applications and CNC precision round bores with 0.002ā€ additional piston to wall clearance.Ā  Premium CNC surfaced to provide a 80 Ra deck surface followed with precise clearance checks by Power Driven Diesel to ensure adequate high-performance piston to wall and main bearing clearance.Ā  (Ready for builder to clean and assemble)
